Aurion Switzerland

Tours

Two formats. Your route.

Half a day or a full day, with your own car and driver. Five hours for what is close, ten hours for the mountains — and in both, the stops and the pace are yours.

How a day with Aurion works

What you book is time with a car and a driver — not a fixed package you have to keep up with.

  • Pickup at the address you choose is inside the booked time.
  • All the driving is inside the booked time.
  • The stops you choose, for as long as you want to stay, are inside the booked time.
  • I tell you about the places on the way — and at every stop you go off on your own, at your pace. No group, no guide walking ahead of you with an umbrella.
  • Tickets, cable cars, boats and meals are not included. You buy those on the spot, so you stay free to change your mind.
  • If the day is going well, it can run up to 2 hours longer when my schedule allows — CHF 80 an hour, settled at the end.

After you book, we talk

Every booking gets a message or a call from me before the day. We go through what you actually want to see, how much walking suits you, whether you are travelling with children, and what the weather is doing that week — and I build the route around your answers. The suggestions on this page are starting points for that conversation, not a fixed itinerary.

Half day — 5 hours

CHF 400 Up to 4 people — the price is for the car, not per person

Rhine Falls & Schaffhausen

Europe’s largest waterfall is forty minutes from Zurich, and it is loud, wide and genuinely impressive. Half a day is enough to stand right above the water, walk the medieval old town of Schaffhausen, and be back before dinner.

5-hour day

Glarus valley & Läderach chocolate

The valley most visitors drive past without stopping — which is exactly why it is worth half a day. Sheer rock walls, a turquoise lake, and the home of Läderach, where the chocolate is broken by hand.

5-hour day

Lucerne & the lake

The postcard version of Switzerland, and it earns it: a wooden bridge from 1333, a lake ringed by mountains, and an old town you can cross on foot in twenty minutes. The easiest first day in the country.

5-hour day

Zurich & around

For a first afternoon or a last one before the flight. The lake, the viewpoint above the city, and the vineyards and small towns most visitors never reach because they are not on the train line.

5-hour day

Full day — 10 hours

CHF 800 Up to 4 people — the price is for the car, not per person

Interlaken & the Bernese Oberland

A full day between two lakes, with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in front of you the whole afternoon. Ten hours is what this region needs — anything less and you spend the day on the motorway.

10-hour day

Engelberg & Mount Titlis

Snow at three thousand metres on any day of the year, reached by a rotating cable car, in a valley with a Benedictine monastery at the bottom of it. The most reliable "we saw real snow" day within reach of Zurich.

10-hour day

St. Moritz & the Engadin

The long day, and the one that surprises people most: high mountain passes, a valley of white-painted houses with sgraffito walls, and a lake that reflects everything. Very different Switzerland from the Oberland.

10-hour day

Zermatt & the Matterhorn

The mountain everybody knows the shape of. Zermatt is car-free, so the day is a long drive through the Valais to Täsch, a twelve-minute shuttle train, and then as much of the village and the viewpoints as the light allows.

10-hour day

Somewhere else in mind?

These are the days people ask for most, not a catalogue. Wine in the Valais, a photography route at sunrise, a visit to relatives in another canton, a mix of two of the days below — describe it and I will tell you honestly whether it fits in five or ten hours.
