Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-12

This policy explains what personal data Aurion Switzerland collects, why, and what you can do about it. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where it applies, the GDPR.

Who is responsible

The controller is the operator of Aurion Switzerland, whose full details are in the Impressum. For any question about your data, write to us at the email address published there.

What we collect

  • Booking data: name, email, telephone or WhatsApp number, preferred language, pickup and drop-off addresses, date and time, number of passengers, luggage, flight number, your notes.
  • Data about children travelling: age and approximate height, only in order to provide the child restraint required by Swiss law.
  • Payment data: the amount, currency, status and reference of the transaction. Card numbers are entered on SumUp’s checkout and never reach our systems.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, in the form of aggregated server logs.

Why we use it

  • To carry out the transport you booked, including contacting you before and during the journey (performance of a contract).
  • To take payment and issue receipts (performance of a contract, legal obligation).
  • To meet accounting and tax obligations under Swiss law (legal obligation).
  • To improve the service and, where you booked directly with us, to ask once after the journey whether you would leave a review (legitimate interest). You can object at any time.

Who else sees it

We share the minimum necessary with: SumUp (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting and database, data centres in the EU/Switzerland), and our email and messaging providers. Where we use a routing service to estimate distance, the pickup and drop-off addresses are sent to it. We never sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for 10 years, as Swiss accounting law requires. Messages and enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to the email address in the Impressum; we answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Booking data is stored in a database with restricted access, and payment details are handled entirely by SumUp.
